Eleven Facts About Myself:

1.  As a teen, I began sewing to make smocks to wear over my back brace.

2.  At age 13, I won a sewing contest for the Singer Sewing Machine Shop in Knoxville, TN. I made a boxed jacket and pencil skirt in white cotton fabric embellished with tiny red velveteen hearts.

3.  I love sewing and designing aprons.

4.  Erica Bunker is my sewing muse!

5.  The late Princess Diana is still my fashion muse!

6.   I dream of visiting the couture houses of Paris!

7.   I taught myself to crochet by reading books and watching videos online.

8.  Dora Ohrenstein is my crocheting muse.

9.  I love crocheting caps.

10.  I spend hours online looking at sewing and crochet patterns.

11.  I dream of owning a yarn and fabric shop.

1. What other crafts do you do? Cross-stitch

2.  What is your favorite food?  Fried oysters.

3.  How tall are you?  5 feet, 1 inch.

4. What is your best physical feature? How does that affect what sorts of garments you sew, knit, etc.? My petite frame.  I avoid garments that overpower my petite frame.

5. Can you drive at stick shift? Yes.

6. What is your worst habit?  I over-plan projects.

7. What three words you would use to describe yourself?  Nurturer, Crafter, Introvert

8. Do you have any random or bizarre talents?  No.

9. Would you ever go sky diving or bungee jumping? I sky dived at age 50!

10. Who is your favorite designer? Michael Kors.

11.  What is the best advice you ever got from another blog? Coletterie.com by Sarai Mitnick and her reasonable approach to sewing.
