Supplies for Couture Dress

Nothing makes me happier than spotting delivery boxes on my front porch after a day at work!  Those boxes held notions needed to construct my Couture Dress that I could not buy at my local chain stores.

Couture Dress Notions

Starting form the left, I ordered and received 3 yards of white silk organza from Sarah Khalje Couture.  I have dreamed of owning and working with this amazing fabric which I will use as underlining in my Couture Dress!  Next from A Fashionable Stitch, I ordered and received 1 huge, very large sheet of yellow waxed tracing paper.  I used three sheets of taped together chalkly, un-waxed tracing paper to trace lines and notches on my muslin. Not a fun way to do it but, I wanted to get started.  Next is  3 yards of 1 1/4 inch white petersham ribbon, 3 yards of horsehair braid and an 1/2 yard of lambswool which will all become part of the Couture Dress.

What a happy girl I am (LOL).  Chat later.

  1. Sewing is indeed your passion and love! I do good just cutting out a pattern and trying to sew it together. You should have your own sewing class or school somewhere.
