The Quilt-Effect Cushion

Project Details
Hello! What does one do with fleece besides making a tie-knot blanket? The Quilt-Effect Cushion by Marion Elliott found in the book Make Me I'm Yours...Simply Sewing complied by Cheryl Brown is a great answer.

Project
Pattern – The Quilt-Effect Cushion by Marion Elliott.

Fabric – 28 inches grey fleece fabric, 56 inches wide; 28 inches of white fleece fabric, 36 inches wide.

Notions – 24 x 24 inch poly-fill, washable, non-allergenic pillow form, thread to match fabrics, 8 inch circle template, marking chalk.

Notes
This large cushion is made by stitching together squares of fleece fabric to make a comfortable and cozy padded cover. The simple graphic design, made up of circles and lines, is marked on the front of the fabric, then sewn using long machine stitches to give a quilted effect. I so enjoyed using my sewing machine to stitch the graphic design on the fleece for this project.

Conclusion
This project is a winner to use with fleece. My husband grabbed this pillow upon completion and held it to his cheek clearly enjoying its cozy softness!
